Ceremonial laying of T7 tramway’s first rail to take place at Silic’s Orly-Rungis business park
By the end of 2013, the T7 tramway will link the Villejuif-Louis Aragon and Athis-Mons metro stations. It will have 18 stops including three on Silic’s Orly-Rungis business park and a connection with RER C (station La Fraternelle).
The ceremonial laying of the first rail will take place at 11 am on Wednesday 29 June at
Silic’s business park, at the crossroads of the rue Saarinen and avenue Lindbergh. Philippe
Lemoine, CEO of Silic and Chairman of Socomie will have the opportunity to welcome many local dignitaries including Pierre Dartout, Prefect of the Val de Marne department, Jean-Paul
Huchon, President of the Ile de France Regional Council and Chairman of STIF, Christian
Favier, President of the Val de Marne Departmental Council, Jérôme Guedj, President of the
Essonne Departmental Council, Pierre Mongin, Chairman and Chief Executive of RATP,
François Garcia, President of the Agglomeration Community Les Portes de l’Essonne, mayor of Athis-Mons and Raymond Charresson, mayor of Rungis.

With almost 400,000 m² already built on a site totalling 63 hectares, the business park is home to 350 tenant companies in 74 buildings, representing 18,000 jobs. A further 90,000 m² is already planned, including 7,000 m² of serviced apartments.
Abbott France, Danone, Kraft, M6, Ricoh France, Système U and Thalès, among others, have chosen Silic’s Orly-Rungis business park.
Over the past few years, the park has embarked on a sustainable development approach which it plans to step up over the coming months and years. « The tramway access is part of our goal of making our business parks ecologically virtuous », added Philippe Lemoine.
